Celebrating Excellence in Independent Filmmaking Worldwide
Submissions are open for IFFA 2026. Explore the films already submitted from around the world — your story could be next.
IFFA is more than a festival — it's a global movement to elevate independent cinema, nurture emerging voices, and connect storytellers with the audiences who need to hear their stories.
IIFFA is here to support Independent Filmmakers to showcase their talent to the World. We will guide and educate filmmakers in Pre-production, Production and Post Production when required. We believe every talented person deserves to showcase their talent. IFFA was realized by a first time indie filmmaker to educate, nurture and provide a platform to independent filmmakers through audience engagement and distribution, regardless of the size of the budget.
Our mission at Indie Films Festival Awards is to empower independent filmmakers by providing them with a platform to showcase their talent, facilitate film distribution, and offer opportunities through OTT platform. We strive to support filmmakers in various aspects, including funding assistance and educational scholarships, fostering their growth and success within the industry.
Our vision is to create a thriving community where independent filmmakers are celebrated, supported, and provided with the resources they need to excel. We envision Indie Films Festival Awards as a catalyst for the growth of emerging talent, facilitating their artistic expression, and helping them connect with a wider audience. Through our initiatives, we aim to become a global hub for independent filmmaking, fostering an environment of collaboration, innovation, and creative exploration.

Materials & technical requirements for participation in IFFA 2026. All submissions must meet these specifications. Items marked with * are mandatory.
The main film file is the heart of your submission. This is the complete, final cut of your film as you intend it to be screened and judged by the IFFA jury. Ensure it is your best, most polished version before uploading.
Films with watermarks, timecodes, or promotional overlays in the main content will be disqualified. Ensure the file submitted is the clean final cut.
The trailer is your film's first impression — for audiences, jury members, and press. A compelling trailer drives audience engagement and media coverage. Take time to craft something that represents your film's essence without giving away the story.
Trailers may also be submitted as a YouTube or Vimeo private link. Password-protected links must include the password in the submission form.
Your film poster is used across all IFFA print materials, digital catalogs, the festival website, press kits, and award ceremony presentations. It must be professionally designed and accurately represent your film's tone and genre.
Posters must be original artwork and must not use unauthorized copyrighted images. AI-generated posters are accepted provided the filmmaker holds full rights to all elements.
Banner images are used for social media promotions, the IFFA website film pages, digital event displays, and sponsor marketing materials. The banner showcases your film to thousands of followers and potential audiences before the festival begins.
Banners with third-party brand logos, unrelated sponsor mentions, or placeholder text ("Lorem ipsum") will be rejected. Submit production-ready finals only.
All non-English language films require English subtitles. Subtitles make your film accessible to international jury members, audiences, and press. Accurate, well-timed subtitles significantly improve your film's reception and awards consideration across all categories.
English-language films must submit closed captions (CC) for accessibility compliance. Deaf and hard-of-hearing screenings require fully captioned versions including sound descriptions.
Complete and accurate metadata ensures your film is properly cataloged, promoted, and considered in all relevant award categories. Incomplete metadata is the most common reason submissions are delayed or disqualified. Fill every field carefully.
Submission of false or misleading metadata — including incorrect premiere status or fabricated credits — will result in permanent disqualification and blacklisting from future IFFA editions.
